Additional Resources This episode features Moe , a man in recovery, who tells his story of how he became addicted to drugs. He started drinking at age 13, when he was older he started using marijuana and cocaine. Before he graduated high school he started experimenting with opioids and became addicted to them He was mandated to treatment in Nassau County. He talks about how the opioids made him feel, they rooted into his primal instincts. He explains that this can be why addicts choose the drug over things like eating, showering, doing things you primal instincts tell you you need to do.
